Fantastic experience: I visited the Canadian ESL Centre with the purpose of booking prep sessions for my IELTS test. Little did I know that beyond getting my desired IELTS score, I was also going to gain other important skills that would transform the way I communicate. It was thanks to Tom that I improved my articulation, vocal mechanics, speaking at a manageable pace, and the use of varying pitch and volume. I wholeheartedly recommend the Canadian ESL Centre to anyone who wants to improve their English language skills.

Fantastic experience: The best places where you wanna study English in London as a beginner. Tom is greater teacher, he teaches in various perspective, which allows the students have enough time to speak, read, listen in the class, and practice writing skill in homework. The most important thing is you can learn many Canadian cultures in his class where no such a thing exists as a book. Throughout my experiences in here, if you are new to Canada or London, no matter if you can speak English or not, this is the place you want to go!

Basically i am from India and having trouble in understanding others language due to different accents but thanks to ESL where i meet quite different people from various communities . Under one roof there were Korean , Japanese, southy Arabia and Chinese students which was very interesting and also helpful to enhance my listening skills. I score overall 6.5 in IELTS TEST . In the first week, I doubted this teaching method: prioritizing listening and interacting with classmates over grammar and vocabulary input. To be honest, I thought it was a little bit unorthodox at first. However, the most important and surprising thing for me is the teaching method does work. I went to Tim Hortons and could understand every word the staff members said. I also passed an interview for my first job in Canada. I discovered English is just a tool for communication, not a science to be researched. Using this language and not being afraid of making mistakes, is the most effective way to become fluent. Fantastic experience: I was a student with teacher Tom in 2018 and 2019, and definitely was the BEST experience I ever had with English. Back in my country we Only learn Grammar and the focus of learning English is all about grammar, so I gave up on learning English. I didn’t know how to really speak English but at Canadian ESL Centre Teacher Tom helped me get more confidence to speak since the talks in the class was held in really nice and comfortable way. I got the chance to learn how to read and write better in English. But the most important when comes about talking in English in my opinion: he thought how to express yourself in English, how to survive in Canada and important information when comes about living in an English speaking country! Negative experience: The owner did not let me reply to his other post here. Your post is completely full of false information. First of all, your job is to teach people to speak, read and write english properly. the first day you started humiliating me. i was coming to you for help and you just decided to humiliate me there you completely ignored me and talked to my husband you made me feel really worst that day i was feeling so down and also here on your review. I can actually communicate very well. i am now studying in a canadian university because i worked hard on my own for IELTSSSSS. You sir need to grow up. when someone posts a negative review, your first response is to attack them personally about their communication abilities? YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO HELP THEM COMMUNICATE, NOT HUMILIATE THEM. Second, the first week of classes i took, you would sit for hours with tea and biscuits without teaching anything to the students who you are charging $800 dollars per month. We were not blaming anyone but when you claim to offer services to help people with english, then you better offer those services instead of attacking each persons review they write about you. In class, i only complained once when a student was saying inappropriate things about my religion that's why I complained you how could you feel if someone say something completely wrong about your religion . if you scroll down, you can see that this grown man cannot tolerate anyone posting honest reviews about their experience with his services (or lack of them). he even said he is reporting someone to the police for cyberbullying after they just posted an honest review. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH HIM! HE WILL BLAME YOU EVEN WHEN HE DOES NOT TEACH OR PROVIDE YOU WITH SERVICES HIS WEBSITE CLAIMS TO PROVIDE. I had a time limit to study for my ielts exam and all he did was sit the whole day drinking tea and talking about children nursery rhymes, because there were on student who shared the nursery rhyme with him which one he never listened. So from that class he used to repeat that rhyme 4-5 times in every single class. So, now imagine what is his teaching system is, students come to learn not for wasting money. EVEN THAT TIME CURRENT STUDENTS on my first day were complaining to me because he doesn't teach basic grammar and syntax, he just sits and speaks. They were frustrated that even after months, they could still not converse with confidence. The owner cannot handle any sort of constructive feedback. You are the one who is complaining and blaming others. i posted a review of what i though about your services and you started attacking my husband and I. Please grow up and actually teach students instead of wasting their time and money.

Negative experience: USELESS FOR IELTS: This is the useless center i have ever seen for ielts preparation in london. more than in this centre i did preparation at home by online materials. I lost my money as well as my time. He does not even have good and useful materials and other tools for ielts preparation. I used to do one or two listening test in a week with worst speaker system, he did not give me any other practise strategies and tricks for scoring high in ielts reading and writing. On top of that, he usually used to give me some reading printed materials from online websites. He does not even have proper forms for admissions and he asked me to send him money by e-transfer on a first because he knew if he had give me one demo class, i would not continue. He has really bad maintenance, no skills, and no experience.

Fantastic experience: Writing for my wife. The ESL Centre gave my wife a better way to learn english without spending time on what is not important to who want to speak, listen and read. With 3 months she jumped from a 0 level of english to someone able to read and understand basic and complex texts, signs, letters and helped her to be more confident doing interviews even not being able to stablish a fluent conversation. She can express some thougths and listen better. Without Tom's help she couldn't find a job. She still needs a lot improvments, however she can do the basics now. Learn without pressure is the best way to learn.

Fantastic experience: It's a good place for students to improve English whatever the courses are. I have been improving my IELTS studying in the class and I am very appreciated to Tom (my teacher). Fantastic experience: Very nice class, I like Tom’s class. Easy to learn English. I’m a Chinese student in western cause English level not enough so 1 years I can’t back to school, but 3-4 months latter I can feel the new world. I suddenly can used English to English in my mind!!!! Very funny teacher and nice! He will teach international student how to survive in Canada those thing each university or college can’t teach those important thing!

Fantastic experience: I studied in two schools before entering ESL, but only in ESL I improved my speaking. Classes with a maximum of 10 students and classes with enough activities to increase your vocabulary. Tom is a great teacher.
