Negative experience: I rarely leave negative reviews because I understand the impact they can have on an organization, but I feel compelled to share my concern regarding the current Test registration process. The limited number of spots, unclear registration times, and frequent website issues are creating an extremely stressful and discouraging experience for many candidates whose immigration, career, and personal goals depend on this exam. While I appreciate that improvements are being discussed, I sincerely hope the organization considers offering more exam dates in advance, improving communication, and strengthening the booking system to better support the growing number of candidates.

Fantastic experience: Excellent instructors and pace of instruction in the super intensive classes. Ndeye, our instructor, made sure that we pronounce words correctly, answered all of our questions regardlesand she also frequently gives insights on variations, as well as many example phrases. Will definitely go back for the next level after the summer.

Fantastic experience: The team of AF Edmonton is great. It's a great association, I've had great experiences with them and I can't wait to run again La French Run with them this year. They are a small nonprofit association, it makes me sad that they get hate for not being big enough to accommodate thousands of people looking to take the TEF/TCF. Many reviews on here are from people who have never interacted with the team.

Negative experience: Their website is one of the worst systems I have ever used for booking a TCF/TEF examination. It constantly crashes, shows server and “bad sector” errors, and wastes a huge amount of time and energy. On top of that, there are payment issues as well, which makes the whole process even more frustrating. Booking an exam should not be this stressful, especially for candidates dealing with important immigration deadlines. The management seriously needs to improve the website performance, payment system, and overall booking experience. I would honestly recommend people book their exam somewhere else instead of Edmonton if they want to avoid frustration.

Negative experience: Worst experience I have ever had. The website barely works during exams filling, and when there is an issue, nobody answers the calls for support. It becomes extremely frustrating when you are already stressed about the exam and cannot even get proper technical help. Very disappointed with the service and support from Alliance Française Edmonton.

Negative experience: The worst place to appear for the test, no dates, no replies on emails, don’t even answer the phone calls and you will never pass the test here, I wont recommend this place to anyone. Wastage of money.

Negative experience: I tried to book a TCF exam through Alliance Française Edmonton, and the experience was quite frustrating. While they clearly mentioned the date when exam slots would open, they did not specify the exact time. This lack of information made the process very stressful. I attempted to contact them for clarification, but unfortunately, I did not receive any helpful response. As a result, I had to keep refreshing the website for hours just to avoid missing the booking window. To make matters worse, the exam slots were fully booked within just a few minutes of opening. For an organization that manages important exams like the TCF, clearer communication and better support are expected. Providing an exact time for slot openings and responding to inquiries would greatly improve the experience for candidates.

Negative experience: I am having a very disappointing experience with Alliance Française Edmonton regarding TCF exam registration. They announced the date for exam slot opening but did not mention the exact time, which created a lot of confusion and stress. Clearly mentioning the exact time and responding to candidates’ queries would make a huge difference.

Negative experience: Very misleading. They convinced me to register my kid in a wrong class just to grab $300 then after attending 1 class , the teacher refused to use even a single wor5of English for basic explanation. The school refused to refund even a single penny. Robbery yo pay $300 for a single class yet the website says discretion can be used for refund in case one withdraws. Be careful before paying this school.

Fantastic experience: The most beautiful school in the city! classes with excellent teachers, very attentive and helpful service, a pleasant atmosphere, always with new art exhibitions. not to mention the diversity of monthly events. We love this school!

Negative experience: The rooms are so hot, terrible ventilation. The building is old and not greatly maintained. There is Not enough parking. Usually they are in short supply of books and materials. Groups get closed as you progress, so no good odds of finishing higher levels.

Negative experience: Dans le cadre de ma démarche d’immigration, je suis tenu d’obtenir un résultat au TCF dans un délai très court. Malgré mes nombreuses tentatives, je ne parviens pas à réserver une session auprès de vous, les places étant systématiquement complètes. Par ailleurs, aucun autre centre d’examen du TCF n’est accessible dans ma région, et les prochaines disponibilités annoncées ne débutent que dans plusieurs mois. Que dois-je faire pour réussir un test TCF ? ________________________________________________

Positive experience: Je dois passer l’examen du TCF dans les plus brefs délais, car ce résultat est indispensable à mon processus d’immigration. Portant, il m’est presque impossible de prendre rendez-vous pour le TCF auprès de votre centre, et il n’existe aucun autre centre TCF à proximité ! Les seules dates actuellement disponibles sont dans trois mois !!! Quoi faire ?!

Fantastic experience: This institution is amazing, I strongly recommend this place to people who want and are dedicated to learning French. I would like to emphasize one teacher named Victoria who is amazing, very professional and skilled in this field so I personally trust her ability to guide me to reach B2 or above. All teachers are amazing but Victoria is more appealing to me with her boosting our speaking skills. Thank you Alliance Francaise and Victoria.

Fantastic experience: J'ai eu l'opportunité de faire du bénévolat pour deux événements organisés par l'Alliance Française d'Edmonton : la French Run et Make Music Edmonton. Les deux expériences ont été fantastiques ! Tout était très bien organisé ! En plus de cela, j'apprécie énormément la diversité et la qualité des événements proposés tout au long de l'année. L'Alliance Française contribue activement à faire rayonner la culture francophone à Edmonton, et c'est toujours un plaisir de participer à leurs activités. Gros + aussi pour la bibliothèque ! Je recommande vivement à quiconque de s'impliquer ou de découvrir les différents événements !

Fantastic experience: One of the best places to learn and to keep up your french. The cultural events are awesome and very welcoming and at least forces you to practice your language skills. Lots of varying levels, so you'll never feel out of place or out of your depth.

Negative experience: Worst place ever! Nobody’s there to respond you once you pay their fees, also they aren’t ready to listen or understand your problem. Very much rigid & stubborn attitude! Would never recommend anyone to be here. Also, before even taking their french class, they refuse to even transfer the credits (paid fees) for next year, when I was not even asking for a refund. In long run this greediness will take them nowhere.

Fantastic experience: Very comfortable learning environment. All the staff and instructors are so friendly. They provide many activities to help get you engaged with the culture and language. Learning is done with out the stress and pressures.

Fantastic experience: I am not the first person learning a foreign language to notice that speaking is one of the hardest skills to master (Even in the native language, carrying a conversation requires practice and confidence!), so I was really glad for the opportunity to enroll in the 'A2 Interaction and Role Play.' Conversation topics in this course are centered around useful everyday situations. You get plenty of opportunity to practice and interact with others in a relaxed, fun, and friendly atmosphere, and your confidence develops along. Marie is an effective and enthusiastic teacher committed to her students' advancement -- I am lucky to have her as a private tutor as well. A great deal of thought goes into planning each session, so that each hour and a half is a sojourn to a new French-speaking place -- even your homework is fun! I look forward to our weekly meetings and would definitely sign up for a similar course again.

Fantastic experience: Just started the A2 conversation class at Alliance Francaise in Edmonton. Excellent !! Just what I need to get back into a neglected endeavour. Really enjoying it. Marie - la professeur - is great !!! Well done AF !!! June 14-2016 Two more classes left, and I need more. Registered for the next session. Yeah !!
