The learning environment was so positive and supportive, which made me feel motivated to study more. The teachers are truly professional. Expérience négative: I am very disappointed in this school. Since submitting my application, lots of time had passed with no answers. I then emailed them. I was then told that I had to pay the admission fee to start the process. I paid them and was waiting for a PAL. I also noticed a mistake on my acceptance letter. I had emailed a simple request to have it fixed. I never heard anything back. I would have appreciated any kind of update. Whether good or bad. Expérience fantastique: Last June, I went to study CLLC in Halifax! I was only there for three weeks, but I learned a lot. I was welcomed by a really nice and helpful team! I loved it! Before I went, I was a bit worried... I'm retired, but age wasn't a problem for the students (so nice!!!), for the teachers (very helpful!) or for the team who do everything to help us achieve our goal. There were students of all ages and from all over the world! ALL the students I met were so kind and welcoming that I was absolutely touched.... I even received a wonderful graduation gift from a lovely student (I miss you!)... Absolutely touching! From day one, I felt like I belonged! I've stayed with a family and enjoy the many moments of discussion with them.... Another way to learn! I went because I wanted a completely English environment. Although some of the students, rarely, spoke in there native language, I resisted speaking French. A BIG THANK YOU to the whole team for helping students gain confidence and offering such a pleasant and above all efficient learning experience!

I spent almost 10 months here and not only improved my English but also got good started to live in Canada. Expérience fantastique: It's an amazing place to study English. Teachers are so capable and friendly (I'm grateful to have met Diogo, Shabeen and Adam). They correct you at the time in a kindly way, so it is too good to improve your English. They have some rules, but the coolest one is the students need to talk in English even they are with friends from the same country! (or it should be like that) They have different activities after class, where you can pratice conversation with other students in different places, but if you want to listen a Canadian accent, focus on the staffs (thank you Amanda and Alexandra for endure me, I really appreciate your effort). Other ways to listen an authentic English are enjoying museuns, the library, working or your homestayfamily. I'm certain that you will find people from all over the world, thus it can be a great opportunity to know about different culture. I'm sure you will enjoy it!

Expérience fantastique: Amazing school with professional instructors and faculty! I have spent one and half year in CLLC. I started level 4 and finished level 7. When I look back, I can tell that was one of the best time in my life. I had so much fun during my study. I was able to study and practice my English here along with classmates from different countries and cultures. Now I have friends from all over the world. My English skill also showed significant improvement during my study. On day one, I could barely speak English. But when the time I graduate, I could communicate in English fluently. The location of the school is perfect. It is located in Halifax downtown. I was able to go to anywhere from there, waterfront, Halifax citadel, Scotia square, Art Gallery of Nova Scotia and NSCAD! There have lots of great restaurants around the campus. So no worries about the lunch! All the courses are well designed. From level 4 to level 7, I could feel my English was improving. I was able to study English in different aspects, Listening, Speaking, Writing and Reading. The whole learning process was joyful. Nothing was hard because I was not on my own, instructors always do their best to help me out. After the day's main courses, we could go to plus one class and choose what we like to know more. These are really well designed and engaging courses to experience Canadian culture. It was my pleasure to read a wonderful book with instructor Wayne and I learned so much during that time. (The book is called The Alchemist) So no matter what your final goal is, promote English skills then go to University or experience Canadian culture, CLLC is the best place to go. The school activities are amazing! There have lots of interesting and fine activities after school. Sometimes we went to local restaurants, sometimes we went to museums and sometimes we went to parks with classmates and an instructor. Those activities really helped me experience Canadian culture, meet new friends and explore Halifax - this wonderful city. There have the most FRIENDLY and PROFESSIONAL instructors and faculty. Although I graduated from CLLC four years ago. I always come back and say hello. CLLC has become my "charging station". Once you step through the door, you can feel that energy. Everybody is so friendly and energetic. They care about you and they want to help. They make me feel I belong here. There has become my second home and I feel welcomed. I like its professional teaching system, the best teachers I have never seen, and the culture of this school. When it comes to academic classes, most of the curriculum were very well-organized and all teachers were very kind and they had a great ability to simplify difficult concepts. Without CLLC, I can't imagine how I attend university and do assignments. I am pretty sure that CLLC Halifax is the best place to learn English regardless of your levels. I also joined communications classes online recently. I wanted to more focus on speaking at this time. My concern was that online classes might be inefficient to study English, but I was wrong! It was easy to communicate with teachers and friends. All I need to do was just push the unmute button! There was nobody around me, so I didn't have to be embarrassed I was able to practice English with online courses much more than when I was in classes in person. I highly recommend that you join communications classes online if you want to improve your speaking skills.

It starts at 9:15 and ends at 2:00 pm, so perfect time management for parents. And I love all staff here. I could get all information on what I need to choose my major, and teachers are willing to help you improve your English. (I love you, Emily, Liza, Melissa, Michelle, Matthew, Crystal, Diogo) And I made some international friends in CLLC. Expérience fantastique: I have been studying English for almost 8 years, between starting and stopping courses. When I was younger I thought: "I hate English"; English is too difficult". This was maybe because in Brazil English is not taught with enthusiasm. Now, English is necessary in my work I`m an auditor and English is mandatory. I studied for 33 months at CLLC, and I learned more in that time than if I had studied for one and a half years in Brazil. CLLC is a great school. I really recommend CLLC. Here you have rules that help you keep focused on learning, like "English Only", and rigid methods. You need to write essays, give presentations and you have a test every week. it is not boring. Because you have support all the time, the teachers are prepared, the CLLC staff always helps you in everything you need. On the other hand, you have a plus, CLLC is not the best school only because you have the serious and structured learning method, but all people are friendly, you have emotional support, you have fun, really fun activities, you become part of a family at CLLC. Here I discovered that I love English, because I can can communicate with fantastic people! CLLC is prepared to encourage us and transform their students into confident speakers. It depends only on you! We can do it!
