Expérience fantastique: They massively accelerated my French learning progress. I spent five years with other language schools and on my own learning, and that barely got me to level A on the government speaking test. After about 15 months with FFF, I reached level C, and not only can I pass the test, je peux vraiment parler en français.

Expérience fantastique: I received my ‘C’ result this morning and I still can’t quite believe it! It took 7 months and I went from a weak B to getting the C. Thanks so much to all the amazing teachers at FFF. Trust the process! :)

Expérience positive: The good things first. The course content is good and the majority of the instructors are quite good at teaching the content. The bad: very very bad scheduling, somehow I ended up with 10 different instructors in a 2 week period which is detrimental to learning, or even worse, instructors who no show. Issues with software, they don’t have any licenses for video conferencing so all calls end after 40 minutes. So while the course content is good, the fact that their scheduling is so bad means that you’ll probably have to spend 2x the time and money here than you would otherwise… (which I guess is what they want?) Edit: I did go back there , and a lot of these issues were fixed. Scheduling was great! I will say all in all it is much improved. There is still some issues with getting an instructor that works for you. But they really managed to improve so much on the admin side that I’m upping this review from 2 to 4 stars.

Expérience fantastique: FFF was absolutely incredible and I suspect it would very difficult to find any greater quality of teachers (and admin) who care about and take their time to ensure the success of their students. Each one of my tutors were top-notch and paid serious attention on helping me to identify and master areas of my speech needing improvement. I took morning and afternoon sessions, finding each one dynamic and perfectly paced. Prior to joining FFF, I previously failed a level B French oral exam. I passed the exam after completing my training with FFF and now feel that my knowledge and confidence to speak the language has grown immensely. Definitley study with FFF when you can. 5-star all the way!

Expérience fantastique: As a student from the private sector, I just finished my first week with FFF. I want to say THANK YOU to the FFF team, including Steve, Danielle, Josée, Ann-Marie, Jihen, Ibtissam, Ouafae, the schedule team and the contract team for your support and patience before my course started. And shout out to the teachers Salma, Hajar, and Meriem. Everything is well-prepared and useful. I believe my French will improve significantly after the training. I have already recommended FFF to my colleague.

Expérience fantastique: I really like the flexible booking schedule and approach to learning that FFF provides. I've never used any other school but I would definitely never take a Government of Canada french test again without at least a few weeks of full time training with FFF. They know the tests and how to prepare you! The 4-hour time blocks (morning or afternoon) are not as long as you think, the format works well (but I do recommend doing half days at least part of every week).

Expérience fantastique: It is honestly a waste of time to go to any other school. I initially used a gov contracted school and was unsuccessful in the renewal of my B, the teacher was not engaged and the training material was not pertinent to the oral exam. I then switched to FFF and was shocked with the difference. The teachers are extremely invested in your success, they adjust your training daily based on where it is required. They also employ a strategy whereby the students have a variety of teachers throughout the week which allows students to hear different accents and have access to different teaching styles. I was quoted ~150 hours after my assessment to obtain my B and I did it in 75, that is how invested and efficient FFF is to the student's success. While it is intense, this is the best school for success.

Expérience fantastique: I undertook 3 months of full-time French training with FFF. I have only positive things to say, the teachers are professional, the school is extremely well run and organized and the pedagological approach is sound and effective. The teachers were geniunely involved in my success and I achieved my goals of a C. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Expérience fantastique: I have now used their services twice for a good number of hours of training in order to move myself up from a B level to a C level. Were there hiccups here and there yes, but the support teams were responsive and willing to work with me to resolve any concerns, which was appreciated. During the training process I worked with several different instructors which allowed me to gain different views and strategies to provide me a more well rounded training experience, and by working with a mix of instructors it helped with general comprehension (specially relating to accents). All of the instructors I worked with had strong grasps of the French language. FFF as a whole has a large amount of detailed documents for use when studying from fill in the blanks to simulation level question grouping, and their instructors each have their own spin and additional items to help support the main training program. I have already recommended and seen 4 other colleagues work through their system as well, as I knew they could be helped by it like I have been. Overall, I would recommend FFF's language training services.

Teaching optimized to pass the Government of Canada (GC) Public Service Commission (PSC) French language tests. I started FFF full-time training with a CCB profile in Jan 2024, and succeeded in obtaining my level C in speaking in one month!

All of the teachers are wonderful and the extras that the school offers are really beneficial and something I've never experienced anywhere else. Expérience fantastique: Fast Forward French is a top-notch school in every respect and I highly recommend them, especially for any federal government employees striving to acquire or improve their French language skills. I have studied with a number of private sector language schools (8 or 9) over the past 20 years, but none were quite as good as FFF in terms of the amazing teachers, well though through pedagogical structure, expertly designed teaching materials, and attentive service. For the first time in my language journey, I could really feel a whole team approach supporting me with consistent and thorough materials and consideration placed on not just learning French, but how to approach the oral exam by managing the stress and anxiety that comes with it. Learning a second language as an adult while juggling a career and family responsibilities was one of the greatest challenges of my life, but FFF helped me to cross the finish line with a win, with my Niveau C orale! Expérience fantastique: I did four weeks of afternoons with FFF to prepare for my oral test and I got the C I was aiming for. I highly recommend this school. They have a really good curriculum that covers all the important areas and they change up learning activities often so that the 3.5 hours doesn't drag on and you lose interest. I felt that they really helped prepare me for the test.

Expérience fantastique: FFF is the best language school that I have worked with in the NCR. Every teacher that I worked with was encouraging and kind. I was a bit apprehensive at first at the idea of a rotating schedule of different teachers, but they are so well organized that I never repeated any subjects and thanks to this structure, it gave me the opportunity to practice with many different accents, and to get feedback from a number of different points of view. FFF has also taken care to develop their own materials to ensure that their teachers are well equipped and to ensure the success of their students by breaking down and simplifying the exam expectations. Finally, and possibly most importantly, they recognize that the exam is a stressful experience for the students and have incorporated really useful workshops and zen sessions to help students overcome their stress. I would 100% recommend FFF to anyone wanting to achieve the elusive C!!

Expérience fantastique: A most excellent experience with FFF over the past months as I prepared for my CBC. The program and the teachers were a perfect fit for me. The pressure was building as my oral exam approached. I opted to participate in one of the many Zen sessions available to students. This really helped me to centre myself in the days leading up to the exam.

Expérience fantastique: After training with Fast Forward French for 6 months full time, then 2 months part time, and taking the oral exam 4 times, I finally obtained my Level C in the SLE Oral exam. I found all my teachers (and there were a lot of them) excellent in both their knowledge of the Oral exam and ability to teach French. I found them quite supportive throughout my long journey, always pleasantly offering advice and constructive criticism all with the goal of helping me obtain my level C. The Academic Director, Steve Currier, was quite generous with his time in helping to diagnose what I needed to improve upon to push me over to the level C, and I can’t thank him enough. The scheduling and contracts group were well organized and promptly responded to my very last minute requests. The teaching materials and simulations were invaluable, helping me improve my vocabulary and really preparing me for the rigors of the Oral exam. For these reasons, I highly recommend this school to help you obtain your level C in the French SLE Oral exam.

Expérience fantastique: I just completed 3 months of training with FFF (part time and full time) and I'm happy to say that I was successful in getting my level C! I had a level B before I started with FFF. I was so impressed by the quality of resources and tools provided as part of the learning and the professionalism, support and kindness of the teachers. Everything provided to me was useful and practical and I felt fully prepared by the time I went into the exam on Monday. Thank you FFF for making my journey to Level C less stressful than it could have been!

Expérience positive: I recently obtained my C-level after training with Fast Forward on a part time basis for 7-months. The school took time to consolidate and reinforce knowledge at the B-level before tackling the structures necessary for the C-level. They have a well-organized admin team who provide you with direct scheduling support on a week to week basis so you find your "right-fit" teachers to help you advance. If a teacher isn't the right fit, you need to be clear about your training needs and contact the school for support in making some adjustments. The school also offers many training guides to support your self-study and reinforce learning and they maintain your learning profile to track your progress. It is important to have regular touchpoints with familiar teachers who know you well for consistency, but you will see a variety of instructors during your training. When you have an Exam date, the school will adjust your training plans to a more intensive prep-plan and you will spent many hours on simulations and techniques to formulate your opinion responses. I recommend reaching out to FFF if you are in need of a second language training plan and start with getting an assessment. I'd like to suggest that the school offer a maintenance briefing or guide for students exiting the training process because your investment needs to be practiced or you will lose the skills you obtained.

Expérience positive: Diverse and personalized teaching tools, and a dedicated team of trained teachers. I studied with FFF for about a year in private lessons (December 2021-December 2022), all remotely because of public health restrictions. My primary goal was to achieve a C in oral. By the time I joined, most of the technology hiccups had been resolved, and teachers were well-practiced in the use the tools of Zoom or MS Teams. I really appreciated the diversity of learning tools available, especially the FFF-developed guidebooks and exercises. I also benefited from the group ateliers, audio recordings, videos, flash card apps, exam simulations, and French vocabulary monopoly (yes it's as inventive as it sounds). FFF also provides stress management sessions and coaching. FFF has a mix of teachers at varying stages--some were beginners, some were experienced, some were bored and unprepared, some were were so dedicated they developed personalized learning plans for each lesson. From speaking with colleagues, I think this is the norm for all language schools. For myself, the majority of teachers I had were absolutely terrific and were without question essential to my success. They were super-human in their unwavering encouragement, and at the same time, were equipped with language lasers to target my weak points. However, I had to self-advocate to actually have these teachers assigned to me. I think it's also important to keep in mind some people (teachers or no) you are going to "click" with, and others, not so much--and that's not an FFF issue, it's just being human. More than once, there were problems with communication within the school. They were all resolved in time, usually because of follow-up on my end. Communication roadblocks are normal in any organization, but they happened at above-average frequency for me. The communications issues, as well as the teacher scheduling issues mentioned above, are the only reason I rated FFF with four stars instead of five. Overall, my learning experience was excellent.

Expérience négative: I unfortunately had a very negative experience with Fast Forward French. While at first I didn’t mind having a different teacher every week, the level of service between them varied greatly. Many times my teachers would come unprepared and simply get me to review my vocabulary on Quizlet for three hours while they blatantly scrolled on their phone, or speak to me in English the entire time. There were a lot of last-minute cancellations and teacher no-shows. In my final month with the school, I had a number of back-to-back last-minute cancellations, having one lesson where I sat and waited for an hour for my teacher to show up. I was not offered any make up classes or alternate teachers. This has had a huge impact on my learning and I decided to end my classes with them as I have SLEs coming up and simply cannot have any more cancellations. I am very disappointed as I had heard great things about the school and they seemed very promising. I do truly hope they are able to sincerely reflect on the feedback that myself and others have left in order to implement positive change for the school so that students can have a much better experience going forward.

Expérience fantastique: I started with Fast Forward French in January with the goal of getting the C level in my federal oral comprehension exam. The teachers are excellent and the resources the school has developed are wonderfully adaptable to different students needs and learning styles. Honestly, I've been to a few different schools over the years trying to learn french and hands down FFF has been the best. The admin staff have also been quick to respond and help out with whatever I needed as a student, not easy with the distance learning we've all had to adapt to!

Expérience négative: Similar to what others have said, it takes forever for them to get in touch with you/get back to you. You really have to be on top of following up or they will forget about you. I paid for private lessons and always had a different instructor which meant taking the first 20 min explaining what I had already done, why I was there are what my goals were. All but one time, the lessons ended early too. Not by much, but 10-15 minutes, and when you are paying for private lessons and already wasted the first 20, that adds up. They closed over the holidays and were supposed to reach out in January to schedule the remainder of my lessons, but forgot about me. I reached out the end of January to see what was going on and they said that they were now full and couldn't fit me in until April now. But it was their error?! Very poorly organized, I definitely wouldn't recommend.

Expérience négative: Quite a disappointment with the way they run the program. I have cancelled my program as the staff were not well coordinated. I have asked for reimbursement and two weeks after, they still have not reimbursed me. I still have to follow up after two weeks and to find out it was not even processed at all.This should have not happened. It was very unprofessional. I should have listened to my other friends who have experienced the same thing.

Expérience fantastique: Very good experience for the 4 months I invested there. I found the concept of “cartes claires” super useful. Also at FFF the administration accommodates students’ requests when it comes to pairing the student with an instructor as well as provide time for self study which are key in my opinion. Cool social activities too :)

Expérience négative: I am so very disappointed. I had to chase them down to get tutoring. We did a couple of weeks and my son loved it there. The next term came around and I had to chase them down again. They were not able to provide me with tutoring but owed me money from a session that was cancelled and I am having to chase down my refund as well. The tutors were great and my son had an amazing time but the administration was awful!!!

Expérience négative: Juste un commentaire sur l'école, pas pour l'enseignement mais sur le recrutement. L'équipe est très sympa au premier abord. Il vous font passer un test de grammaire (qui comporte des erreurs de français), puis un entretien et enfin une simulation de cours. Le problème est qu'ils ne vous donnent aucune indication du style de l'enseignement de l'école, du but recherché, de leur pédagogie. De plus, ce qui leur convenait tout à fait lors de l'entretien téléphonique leur pose des problèmes une fois que vous êtes venu sur place pour l'entretien. J'ai aussi eu le sentiment qu'ils avaient peut-être des difficultés à se remettre en question. Il y a à l'entrée un trombinoscope des professeurs, et ils sont très nombreux. Et nous étions au minimum cinq à passer des entretiens ce jour-là, ce qui semble démontrer soit un gros turnover, soit la recherche de candidats stéréotypés. Je ne me permets pas de juger la qualité de l'enseignement, je ne la connais pas. Pour ce qui est de l'équipe, j'ai peur qu'elle soit sympa si vous correspondez à ce qu'elle recherche, beaucoup moins si vous ne les intéressez pas... Ils se ferment et coupent court à la discussion dès qu'ils sont mis face à leurs contradictions.

Expérience fantastique: A huge debt of gratitude to the team at Fast Forward French. We were searching for french tutoring for our daughter. She has had 3 years of fun and excellent results since starting at FFF. Her public school teachers have been impressed with their program and our daughter looks forward to going each week. They tailor their teaching to the individual and have made homework fun for our girl. The team is open to collaborating with teachers so that it works for the student. So happy that we chanced upon this professional and caring environment that makes learning french fun. We've had two summers of summer camp and they have been excellent at encouraging and making our girl feel comfortable when she didn't know the other students. This is a jewel of a resource in our community. Thank you Marie Claire, Gerry, Cathy, Perlette, Denise and the rest of the team at Fast Forward French.

Expérience fantastique: I was a student (adult learner) at FFF for both part time and full time training in 2014/2015. I found the quality of the teaching and teaching material to be excellent. The teachers were professional, always encouraging, and very good at tailoring lessons to address my weaknesses and reinforce my strengths. I came to FFF based on a recommendation by a colleague with at child at FFF who spoke very highly of the program. I have since recommended the program to others.

My son needed support when he was in a French school, and FFF was both extremely knowledgeable about what he needed to succeed, and also incredibly fun! Their many activities created a very positive school spirit. I was impressed with the qualifications of the teachers, and when you are choosing a language school, you can (and should) get a sense of the certifications of the teaching staff. For the summer camp that my son participated in, it certainly appeared that the kids were having a great time. It was the right balance of educational curriculum, in a variety of forms, to engage the kids, and keep them engaged. From the perspectives of my son, and me, as a concerned parent, we give FFF five stars. An excellent learning environment.

Expérience fantastique: This school went above and beyond to prepare me for my language exams. They tailored a program specifically to me, and were able to teach outside the box to ensure that I understood and could succeed in gaining the levels I needed. You can tell that it is a priority for them to create a fun, positive atmosphere where their students will thrive.

Expérience négative: Very bad experience with their summer camp. the teacher was not qualified. They have a few teenagers who help them "volunteer". Not organized. They don't have any facilities to run the summer camps. The outdoor activities are in their parking area beside the parked cars which is not safe!! They take the children outside, passing beside the Main Street "absolutely not safe". I am very disappointed! I has already been told that their french classes were not helpful, But I still tried the summer camp for my son that I am really regretted!!! My 7 years old son says "this was the only camp in this summer which made him feel depressed."

Expérience fantastique: Fast Forward French is awesome! The group lessons are the best. I would recommend 2 hours a week to get your French level where you want it! The owners Gerry and MC have been so accommodating and very welcoming. 100% recommend this school for your next great French learning experience.
