Specialized Preparation for Government French Exams
With over 25 years of experience in the Ottawa area, Fast Forward French has established itself as a leading institution for preparing students for the Federal Government's Second Language Evaluation (SLE) and Public Service Commission exams. The school boasts an impressive success rate, with more than 90% of adult students passing their exams after completing their training. Their methodology is highly specialized, focusing on the specific structures, strategies, and content required to achieve high levels, particularly the coveted "C" level in oral French.
Expert Faculty and Innovative Methodology
Students consistently praise the school's team of highly qualified, patient, and dedicated teachers. The pedagogical approach is described as dynamic, structured, and personalized. A key feature of their method is the use of a rotating schedule with multiple instructors. This allows students to be exposed to various teaching styles and different French accents, which significantly enhances comprehension and adaptability. Teachers are noted for providing constructive feedback, identifying specific areas for improvement, and maintaining high motivation throughout the learning process.
Comprehensive Resources and Holistic Support
Fast Forward French goes beyond standard language instruction by providing extensive, proprietary study materials, including simulation tests, fill-in-the-blank exercises, and vocabulary tools. Recognizing the high stress associated with official exams, the school offers unique wellness support, such as stress management workshops, "Zen" sessions, and even access to health coaches and nutrition guidance. This holistic approach helps students manage anxiety and build the confidence needed to succeed.
Flexible Programs for All Ages
The school caters to a diverse range of learners, offering both part-time and full-time training options for adults, as well as specialized tutoring and summer camps for children. Fantastic experience: I definitely recommend FFF! My teachers were absolutely outstanding, knowledgeable, patient, and truly dedicated. Their teaching style is engaging and supportive, which made learning French both effective and enjoyable. The quality of the courses is beyond 5 stars. Thanks to their guidance, I was able to achieve my C level in oral French in just 10 months of training :-) The teachers not only explain concepts clearly but also motivate and encourage you to push yourself, providing constructive feedback every step of the way. They make the learning experience fun while ensuring you progress quickly. I couldn’t have asked for a better team to help me reach my goals! Thank you, Team FFF! :-)
Fantastic experience: I had a great learning experience with FFF! Thanks ☺️
Fantastic experience: They massively accelerated my French learning progress. I spent five years with other language schools and on my own learning, and that barely got me to level A on the government speaking test. After about 15 months with FFF, I reached level C, and not only can I pass the test, je peux vraiment parler en français.
Fantastic experience: I received my ‘C’ result this morning and I still can’t quite believe it! It took 7 months and I went from a weak B to getting the C. Thanks so much to all the amazing teachers at FFF. Trust the process! :)
Positive experience: The good things first. The course content is good and the majority of the instructors are quite good at teaching the content. The bad: very very bad scheduling, somehow I ended up with 10 different instructors in a 2 week period which is detrimental to learning, or even worse, instructors who no show. Issues with software, they don’t have any licenses for video conferencing so all calls end after 40 minutes. So while the course content is good, the fact that their scheduling is so bad means that you’ll probably have to spend 2x the time and money here than you would otherwise… (which I guess is what they want?) Edit: I did go back there , and a lot of these issues were fixed. Scheduling was great! I will say all in all it is much improved. There is still some issues with getting an instructor that works for you. But they really managed to improve so much on the admin side that I’m upping this review from 2 to 4 stars.
