Fantastic experience: Great Language School! I really recomment it!

Negative experience: I took my CELPIP test on November 16 and had a terrible experience. During the speaking test, I was talking at a normal volume, but the examiner came and interrupted me in the middle of my exam, After that im done!. After, when I raised my hand for same reason, no one responded. The headphones they provided were extremely cheap, and the cabls were all over the table. I have never seen CPU on the table! It didn’t feel like a professional testing environment at all. Very disappointed with the setup and management. CELPIP is an expensive exam, and the test centre should provide a quiet, organized, and respectful environment!

Negative experience: Horrible Experience. I was constantly bothered during my exam for facial verification. Not once but thrice. Come on guys, you already verified it before exam and once again upon entry to the examination hall with passport. . Why would you bother an exam candidate especially during the test? While you already checked it twice. In fact, you could do it a zillion times before the exam commencement and not bother a candidate during exam time, especially when we pay for it. Don't you trust your initial judgment ? Jesus Christ !

Fantastic experience: I took my IELTS exam last April 2025. Scheduling the test online was easy, as well as the online payment. During the actual test, I liked that the proctors were always around to give instructions, and you could easily clarify things. I had to use the washroom, and proper protocols were observed too. I respect the professionalism of the staff in general.

Fantastic experience: I really had a great experience getting assistance from them. We were three friends booking the test and all of us booked the wrong one and we contact them to change the module. The guy was really helpful and kept checking on all of us by giving us call. I really appreciate the time and help we got from him. Thank you so much

Fantastic experience: I booked wrong test by mistake they really understand my situation and helped ne change my module the guy was so polite and considerate. He kept on checking on me even if i was not able to pick up the call then helped me fill out the form and process it. He was so nice. It was really a great experience.

Negative experience: Zero stars at all. I just wasted my money. They do not provide personal headphones for listening. It was quite difficult to concentrate. I WANT a REFUND of my money as it was not worth it just because of their ridiculous system. Just email the IDP as well.

Negative experience: I took a computer-based test at this center. Their systems are outdated, and they do not allow retakes a one- skill test. If you need to improve your mark, it would be a waste of money. Plus, candidates are not allowed to bring their own water bottles, nor are they provided with see-through water bottles. If you have a speaking test, there is no waiting area, and the staff behaves impolitely.

Negative experience: I had my ielts test booked on Saturday at 9 am. I left early from home but I got pulled over for expired insurance and cop wasted my 30-40 mins. I had insurance and showed him renewed papers but there was glitch in his system. I still rushed there and reached at 8:55 but doors were locked. Tried calling but no answer. Couldn’t get hold of anyone. POOR SERVICE.

Fantastic experience: Global Village School in Victoria is great!! I feel so fortunate that I found the best English school in town to give my nephew the opportunity to learn English and meet his IELTS mark in 6 months. Global Village staff was very nice, knowledgeable, available and genuine interested in my nephew goals and progress. Finally, I was very impressed with their diligence responding to all my questions and requests and I tell you I had many. I highly recommend GV English school in Victoria. The best in town!!

Negative experience: i had bad experience at this ielts exam center when i had my exam here last month , LRW test was good , for speaking test , i went through a horrible experience with my examiner , first of all , she did not greet me when i said hii good afternoon , she said okay , then speaking test started so she asked me question about my name like what is the meaning of your name - i explained then she asked who gave you this name - i explained the answer, then she asked me a very silly question that why your mother gave you this name and why not other name? but thats fine for me . For the cue card - she did not let me speak for even 30 seconds , i only speaked 3 lines of my cue card and she stopped me and went to followup questions. my cue card was for childhood friends so she asked why you still talk to your this childhood friends. for the followup questions - everytime when i want to answer the questions , she ask the next question only after the one sentence and she showed that she is really in hurry for this exam and did not give me enough time for my answers, at the end i said thank you , have a good day , she even not replied a single word to my greetings. She was marking my score band infront of my eyes on marking sheet which i can clearly see . she did not care about hiding of the marking sheet which is the ielts policy to hide from the test taker . She makes a face of disappointment for every answer i gave. She gave me 5 band in speaking which was totally unjustified for me so i applied for remark of my speaking exam and i got 6.5 in my speaking after the remark. She was not a professional examiner , please dont waste anybody time if you are not trained in this field , please have some training first on how to conduct the speaking exams. She made a horrible negative environment for the exams

Fantastic experience: The best experience I've ever had. I took the Cambridge lessons, for the test in november, in 2017, and I was able to pass this test. I am so grateful for all the teachers and friends I've met, and all the employees of this school. I will never forget any of this...

Fantastic experience: I studied for 6 months at Gv, and it was just wonderful, my teacher Scott is a great teacher, always encouraging the students to challenge themselves, and practice. The school is beautifully located, and they offer activities for the students to get to know Victoria better and make new friends. I can't think of one bad thing, everything was so great; and Victoria is an outstanding place to live at, so many beautiful landscapes. The best six months of my life!

Fantastic experience: It is an excellent school, it has a great student atmosphere and excellent treatment by the teachers and all the staff. I studied for three weeks at the Victoria BC campus and I really hope looking forward to return.

Fantastic experience: I had been learning and studying for four months in Canada (GV Victoria), before I come back to Brazil. It was incredible. The atmosphere inside the school is amazing. The teachers, employes, the students, all the people help you and cheer up you. In my opnion, I felt very safe and confortable in GV and Victoria. I miss a lot of my classes, my classmates, the experiences, include my hostfamily, the town...all the things. I recommend GV Victoria to everyone (for any age).

Negative experience: Buena tarde quiero emitir una queja contra el Sr. Francisco Vargas are de marketing global village ,de forma muy grosera le solicitó que me dé información acerca del curso y debido a que la solicitud de visa están tan demoradas en Colombia , le preguntó si solo debo pagar una parte del curso ya que el mismo me estaba solicitando pagar el curso completo Cuando en otras instituciones para la carta de aceptación sólo se paga una parte del curso De forma muy grosera empezó a decirme que le estaba haciendo perder el tiempo , cuando se supone yo soy una cliente y tengo derecho aclarar mi dudas Att. Negative experience: Terrible customer service. Was not able to get my results. The mailbox was full when I tried to leave a message. They would not help me get it. I passed the test but couldn't get my results.

Fantastic experience: GV is the best language school in Victoria, BC. GV has amazing teachers; they are very experienced, knowledgable, friendly, and helpful. I benefited the most from the Pathway program, it is wonderful for who is applying for a college or university. In the Pathway program, you will be prepared for college and university level English courses as you'll learn academic writing, speed reading, presentations, and advanced vocabulary, etc. Based on my experience, IELTS preparation course at GV is really poplar as it provides the best training for IELTS exam. I also strongly recommend their Power Speaking program for those who struggle with their English speaking. I was very impressed with the warm and welcoming environment at GV. I would like to say "thank you" to my teachers, thank you all for helping me to achieve my goal. Studying at GV is one of the best experiences in my life.

Envie a estudiar ingles a mi hija de 15 años a Victoria el personal de Global Village me apoyó en todo, asesoria para expedicion de documentos que se requerian para solicitar la visa, servicio prestado para Homestay, transporte; estuvieron conmigo a cada paso y respondia cada solicitud en menos de 24 horas. La experiencia de mi hija fue increible, las instalaciones son muy agradables, los profesores y el personal son extremadamente amables, organizados y siempre estan prestos a colaborar al estudiante, tanto en temas de clases como en otras necesidades. Sus actividades extracurriculares son muy interesantes y economicas. Recomiendo ampliamente vivir la experiencia Global Village, es enriquecedora en todo sentido y jamas te sientes solo.
