Fantastic experience: At that time, I compared several language schools and finally chose this one. I did not make a wrong choice. The teacher was very patient and made corresponding changes to the textbooks based on our weaknesses during the learning process. This has greatly improved our class and enabled me to smoothly enter the professional learning.

Fantastic experience: These people have been fantastic to work with. I've recently rented the space from them, they were so easy and approachable I'd be delighted to work with them again. If you need a classroom space I highly recommend reaching out. The prices are very fair and they have everything you need from TVs to kitchens to wifi to washrooms.

Fantastic experience: Very professional place for learning English and surprisely, it also has many interesting courses such as tarot lesson here. I had an amazing experience over there. The instructor was very knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about Tarot, making it easy to understand even for beginners. I am still on my way to be a Tarot reader but I believe I can develop my reading skill gradually in this class. Finger crossed!

Fantastic experience: Staff and instructors and super friendly and professional here. The location is convenient right beside the Spring Garden Road where there are so many choices for food. The Halifax Central Library and the Halifax public gardens are all within walking distance. Overall a great space to learn English.

Fantastic experience: Enrolling in ALCC's UBP course was really the right decision. This course is created entirely to allow students to smoothly transition to university courses. During the 13-week UBP course, I learned a lot of knowledge and skills that I would use in college, like how to write essays, cite others, and present seminars and academic presentations. Although there was no way to take classes at Halifax due to the epidemic, the teaching quality of online courses was outstanding. UBP courses were taught by two teachers, Rania and Paul. The two teachers teach differently, but they are both enthusiastic and willing to answer questions. I have now arrived at Halifax from Taiwan, thanks to ALCC for the help.

Fantastic experience: My son is a G10 student. He has taken ALCC private tutorial on-line class for grammar and writing since pandemic. ALCC teachers are brilliant. Teachers not only taught English, but also motivated my son’s passion in learning language, and coached his self-discipline and time management skills. My son enjoys the class very much, and makes significant progress in English. He got 90+ score in his high school English course last semester. Now he registers his 3rd language study, French course in his high school this semester. Thank you ALCC.

Positive experience: Paid $336 for a computer delivered IELTS test, sually, it is $320. However, I’d recommend anyone take computer based IELTS test. This venue has very few candidates, only 2 people including me, for example. It is quiet, quick processed, distraction is out of your concern. Candidates can receive the result within 3-5 days after the exam. Which is perfect for those people who are in need for the test result ASAP. Computer delivered test gives me an extremely comfortable experience of taking an IELTS exam. This is my 5th IELTS sitting, and has become the best experience among all. In listening, you do loss the begging extra time to preview other sections, whereas you can highlight, copy and paste, make note on the selected texts. Plus, you no longer have to erase the text when editing your answers. Paying a little more for the convenience, it’s worth it in my opinion.
