Fantastic experience: I had seen mixed reviews about this centre, but it turned out to be one of the best exam locations I could have chosen. The staff were very welcoming, especially the gentleman who gave clear instructions and was extremely helpful. Although the lady staff member did not provide me with additional writing sheets (I had requested them before the exam because my handwriting is messy and I didn’t want to distract the person next to me), the overall experience was still very positive. Trust me, this is one of the best exam centres for clearing your exam, and it is also very easy to locate.

Negative experience: I took the CELPIP-General Test at Bayswater Toronto on November 29, 2025. This test center is structurally inadequate and procedurally negligent, directly compromising my ability to perform on a $330 high-stakes exam. I strongly advise all future candidates to avoid this location. 1. Structurally Unsuitable Environment: The testing room was extremely small (approximately 12x6 ft). Despite having many empty desks, the staff refused my polite request to space candidates out. We were seated one chair apart, resulting in noise pollution from every direction. The earplugs provided were useless, as using them meant I couldn't hear the test audio, but without them, I could hear every word from the candidates during the Listening and Speaking sections. 2. Direct Interference from Connected Desks: I was seated at a desk that was physically connected to the one in front of me. When a candidate was allowed to enter late and was seated directly ahead, every time they typed or wrote, my monitor and entire table shook violently. This level of physical distraction is inexcusable in a standardized exam setting. 3. Procedural Negligence and Disruption: The staff committed a major procedural failure by allowing a confused, loud, late entrant to walk into the room during the live Listening section while I was processing a critical, non-repeatable audio question. This single act destroyed my concentration and directly impacted my performance. 4. Outcome Confirms Negligence: The scores I received confirm this failure. My high-level proficiency in Reading (10) and Writing (10) was drastically suppressed in the compromised sections: Listening (8) and Speaking (8). The test environment created by Bayswater Toronto staff and their adherence to rigid, nonsensical "security" excuses (in a tiny room with two supervisors!) caused a loss of time, money, and emotional distress. In summary, this center's environment is not fit for purpose. Staff negligence and poor structural layout directly ruined my score. Choose a different location if you value a fair testing experience. EDIT/UPDATE: The response from Bayswater Toronto Management is a blatant fabrication and a desperate attempt to avoid accountability. First, I am a design engineer; I calculate dimensions for a living. Your claim that the room is 13x28 is a complete lie—the space is approximately 12x6 (at most 18x8). Perhaps you are simply hoping I didn't notice. Furthermore, your "maximum spacing" claim is false: I had candidates positioned to my front, back, and right, only one chair away. Regarding the late entrant: You have openly admitted to a massive procedural failure. You claim he was "before the official start time," yet he entered during a live, non-repeatable Listening section. If you knew you could have had late arrivals, you should not have started the session early. You cannot flip-flop on policies to suit your convenience while ruining a candidate's $330 exam. Most importantly, you admitted the desk vibration was an "isolated instance." By saying this, you have officially acknowledged that the physical interference did happen. That "isolated instance" shook my monitor and table throughout the exam, directly sabotaging my focus and performance. Stop hiding behind diplomatic, "sorry you feel that way", or "we understand they may not have worked as well for you" language and take some actual accountability for your incompetence. Your earplugs were useless, your room is a closet, and your staff is negligent. I am moving forward with my Permanent Residency, and once that process is finalized, I will be pursuing full legal and professional accountability against this center and Prometric for the damages and mental distress caused by your center's incompetence. See you then.

Fantastic experience: Had my CELPIP test taken here yesterday at 1 PM with a fractured foot, and the staff were absolutely amazing! From the moment I walked in, they made me feel welcomed and cared for. All three staff members kept checking on me, helped me get settled, and even found a way for me to keep my foot elevated so I wouldn’t be in pain. Thank you for being so thoughtful and kind — it really made a huge difference

Fantastic experience: I have just taken the CELPIP exam this morning at this center and the overall experience to me is higher than expected. I read a lot of reviews at other centers and worried so much about the facilities (I don't know why even in a developed country, facilities at some places are so bad compared to my home country, each exam center looks extremely clean and modern) but it turned out that facilities are so great. No problems happened with microphone, monitor or the computer. Personal space was comfortable enough to help you focus on your work. Staff was so friendly and supportive. They always smiled and assisted you right away whenever you had a question. Plus, this center stays inside a modern building within the North York center area, so it's very accessible to food restaurant, cafe and there's even a public library right there. I recommend this center for everyone. I just wish, though, they had the IELTS exam as well because I don't think CELPIP format worked for me lol

Fantastic experience: I took a CELPIP test at this location on June 28, 2025 and, overall, had a good experience. The staff is extremely nice, attentive and accommodating. They explained the instructions clearly. One staff member noticed that I had my mic up and gently notified me about it. They even asked me how the experience was after the test and seemed really vested in the response! I have only one recommendation that I believe would make the experience even better for all test takers: - When possible, please sit the participant through one. In my case, we sat shoulder-to-shoulder close, even though there were plenty of free sits, so I could clearly hear which part of the listening test my neighbour listened to. That was a bit distracting but not critical. Surprisingly, everyone was very mindful of others during the speaking test, so we managed to not bother/disturb one another.

Fantastic experience: I took the marketing class. First, I worried about the class because I don’t have confidence of my English skills. As expected this class was difficult for me. This is because I can’t speak and understand professional English even though I can speak English daily. In my opinion, it is difficult to understand the class perfectly for students whose level are as same as mine. If they take the class, they need a help to understand. But I know that achieving difficult goal is the best part of studying abroad, and the teacher and friends always helped me a lot. That’s why I can enjoy the Toronto Life and I didn’t give up. The reason why I join the class is that I want to get a full time job in a foreign country someday. So I wanted to know how to get job, what kind of skill I need.
