Negative experience: visited in January 2026 afternoon, the company should change the guy in reception had to enroll to ATPAL because he was super rude and (mamon) as we say in Mexico, he denied giving me a letter of acceptance (which is needed for migration to stay 6 months) but the attitude was impossible, I retired with a lump in the throat, as latinos we are kind and supportive he was the typical enemy of other latin paisanos. I own a company and I know a first contact its really important no matter the quality of your product. Hope other people take his place. CHANGE him ASAP,

Fantastic experience: I took my CELPIP test at ILSC, and the staff is awesome. Specifically Sarah, Patricia, Matheus and 2 other members that helped us out. Besides giving clear instructions, they also pass a calm vibe, which helped me a lot before starting the exam. Very organized and clean institution.

Negative experience: I had a terrible experience with my IELTS academic paper-based exam at this center. They aren't expert and skilled enough to hold such an important exam. The center organizers made a mistake, didn't accept it, didn't do anything about it, and just said " we are sorry!" Two days before my exam, they called and informed me that the ILSC center hadn't received the exam papers because of some problems. They forced me to take it another time. I couldn't change my time because of my schedule. Finally, they canceled my essential exam. I needed an IELTS certificate for continuing my education; as a whole, it's an untrustworthy center. Choose another exam centre.

Fantastic experience: I went to ILSC for a one month course of french and I had an extraordinary experience. Of course nobody will learn a foreign language within one month, but you can inprove a lot with this experience in Canada. The teachers I had at ILSC are excellent, the staff is very helpful and the course is really serious.

Fantastic experience: I went to take the English exam yesterday at the center. At first, I was amazed by how big the space is as well as how friendly the staff is. They are very gentle and friendly, and they were also professional in walking me through the registration process step by step. Unfortunately, I forgot the name of the woman (supervisor) who has short hair. She was amazing in helping me resolve some issue while remains calmly. My overall experience here was really good.

Positive experience: التقييم بالعربية: أخذت كورس فرنسي معهم لمدة أسبوعين بدوام كامل (من 8:30 صباحًا حتى 1:15 ظهرًا من الاثنين إلى الجمعة). في الأسبوع الأول كنا بمجموعة صغيرة (7 طلاب فقط)، وكان الوضع جدًا مريح. في الأسبوع الثاني دمجونا مع طلاب آخرين وصار العدد تقريبًا بين 16 إلى 18 طالب. فيه عدة خيارات للتسجيل، كلها دوام يومي، لكن الفرق في عدد ساعات الدراسة باليوم. أنا اخترت الفل تايم، وكان جدولي: • 8:30–11:15: كلاس تأسيسي مع معلمة (مع بريك 15 دقيقة) • 11:15–11:45: بريك أطول • 11:45–1:00: كلاس ثاني مع أستاذ آخر ✅ المميزات: 1. المنهج الدراسي سلس وممتع 2. المعهد نظيف ومرتب 3. موقع المعهد ممتاز – جنب محطة المترو، وفيه باص 24 يوقف قدامه مباشرة 4. المعلمة في الأسبوع الأول (Julie Segalen) كانت أكثر من رائعة! تتكلم بهدوء، وتستخدم الإشارات أو الإنجليزي لتوضيح الكلام، تحفزك تشاركي وتتأكّد إنك فهمتي الفكرة، وتركز على النطق الصحيح 5. في أنشطة ورحلات ينظمها المعهد – بعضها مجانية وبعضها مدفوعة (زي رحلات لتورنتو، كيبك، ونيويورك) 6. التواصل مع المعهد سريع وسهل 7. تستلمين شهادة مباشرة في آخر يوم 8. يعطونك تطبيق تتابعين فيه الجدول والدروس 9. بطاقة طالب للخصومات ❌ النقاط التي تحتاج تحسين: 1. أول يوم بالكورس: رحت الساعة 8:30 لكن طلع اليوم مجرد تعريف والكلاس يبدأ 10، وقالوا إنهم أرسلوا إيميل يوضح هذا الشي – بس ما وصلني، فسبب لي إرباك بالبداية. 2. نهاية اليوم الأول: أرسلوا لي إيميل يقولون إن الكورس شبه ممتلئ بسبب الإجازات وكثرة المسجلين، وبحكم إن تسجيلي كان متأخر، صارت لخبطة. رديت عليهم وأكدت إن عندي تأكيد وكل شيء جاهز، فاعتذروا وقالوا إنها حالة نادرة ورجعوا رتبوا وضعي. 3. الأسبوع الثاني – تغيير المعلمة: المعلمة كانت تتحدث بسرعة، ونادرًا ما تستخدم اللغة الإنجليزية، وأحيانًا تخلص نقطة معينة وأنا ما أكون فاهمة الفكرة. هي مو سيئة أبدًا، بس مقارنة بمعلمة الأسبوع الأول، الفرق كان واضح – خصوصًا من ناحية التأكد من منطق المعلومة والتركيز على النطق. 4. تفاوت المستوى بين الطلاب: في الأسبوع الأول، كان معنا طالب مستواه أعلى، ونقلوه لمستوى متقدم – وهذا كان ممتاز. لكن في الأسبوع الثاني، انضم لنا طالب من كلاس ثاني، وكان مستواه متقدم نوعًا ما، فحسيت أثر على سير الكلاس بالنسبة لي. أفضل يكون الكل بنفس المستوى تقريبًا. 5. الدفعة الإضافية: وقت التسجيل، كان مكتوب إن دفع 200 دولار إضافية يسرّع إجراءات التسجيل. دفعتها بعد ما أرسلوا لي الفاتورة، وبعد ما دفعتها استوعبت إنهم ما خصموها فعلًا من الإجمالي! راسلتهم واعتذروا إنهم ما انتبهوا، وقالوا بيرجعون المبلغ – لكن للحين ما رجع. فنصيحة: لا تتحمسون وتدفعون قبل ما تراجعون الفاتورة زين! الخلاصة: التجربة كانت مريحة وممتعة لكن خلك منتبهين، والسلبيات بسيطة مقارنة بالإيجابيات

Fantastic experience: It is very nice to have English exam here. Every staff is very nice and they make you feel less nervous. I passed IELTS here and cancelled for following exams. The test center gave me a detailed instruction about cancellation and they also congratulated me on my results.

Negative experience: ILSC advertises that its advisors embody empathy, respect, professionalism, and student-centered care. Advisors are expected to provide supportive, understanding, and culturally sensitive guidance that prioritizes student well-being. However, when advisor behavior falls short such as pressuring students, showing minimal concern for individual circumstances, or making intrusive personal inquiries, it directly contradicts these values. Such actions undermine the supportive and caring environment ILSC promotes and can leave students feeling unsupported and isolated, especially since for many it’s their first time being abroad. It is crucial for ILSC to ensure all staff consistently reflect the values they advertise to foster trust and well-being among students.

Positive experience: Estuve estudiando ahí por 6 meses. Mi opinión sobre esa escuela es que los maestros de inglés y francés si motiva a los estudiando a aprender y son muy simpáticos en eso 10/10. Más el maestro Nicolás y Peng. El único detalle que le veo es que esten más al pendiente de las host family y mas que llegan muchos adolescentes menores de edad, yo estuve casi 4 meses con una familia y el esposo era medio intenso y llegó a ser incómodo con las niñas que llegaban ahí, lo llegué a comentar con la escuela y no me solucionaron nada, nomas me decían "que eran unas de las mejores familias que había" entre otras cosas.

Fantastic experience: I loved all my time at school. I really enjoy the different activities we’re offered and the completely unique classes like the one about coffee or, for example, the one about music and movies. All the teachers are amazing, and everyone is so caring. I loved it.

Before applying, I had the opportunity to speak with the French Language Supervisor, Simon, who was very kind and helpful in answering my questions about language teaching methodologies. Additionally, Alexandre, the Student Services Manager, was also very supportive and attentive. My experience was just as great as the one I had at ILSC Toronto a few years ago. Negative experience: I’d be glad to share my experience with this school. I helped my sister search for schools in Montreal, and after considering a few options, we decided on ILSC Montreal. Unfortunately, it has been over a month since we requested a refund after her visa application was denied by Canada, and the process has been extremely frustrating. They have shown little professionalism in their emails, with poor communication and minimal effort to resolve the issue. We notified them of the situation in December, yet they only ‘submitted the request’ in January. Responses have been brief or absent altogether, and their lack of service has made the refund process unnecessarily difficult. We are going to update the information so you can not choose this school and also the proofs/ Con gusto comparto mi experiencia con esta escuela. Ayudé a mi hermana a buscar escuelas en Montreal y, después de considerar varias opciones, nos decidimos por ILSC Montreal. Lamentablemente, ha pasado más de un mes desde que solicitamos un reembolso porque Canadá le negó la visa, y el proceso ha sido sumamente frustrante. Han demostrado poca profesionalidad en sus correos, con una comunicación deficiente y mínimo esfuerzo para resolver el problema. Les notificamos sobre la situación en diciembre, pero recién ‘procesaron la solicitud’ en enero. Sus respuestas han sido breves o inexistentes, y la falta de servicio ha complicado innecesariamente el proceso de reembolso.

Fantastic experience: Organized test center with competent staff. Although it is a stressful moment, the organization and the courtesy with which everyone treats us made all the difference. In my case, I did not encounter any unforeseen issues at any point, both during my French test and my English test. The computers are new, the audio equipment is good, and the evaluators perform their duties assertively, without any disrespect or rudeness.

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience! Coming from Iran, where we often had 40 participants packed into a single room, I was pleasantly surprised to find there were only 9 of us here, and the staff was incredibly friendly. The building was also easy to find, with an ambient environment. This was also my first time taking the computer-based IELTS, and although I was nervous at first, I’m really glad I took the risk—it turned out to be much easier to type than I expected.

Negative experience: 최악의 학원 Classes are closed during the session due to a decrease in students and teacher's vacation. I was in "Vocabulary and Reading" class and they told me to move on to Canadian studies, IELTS prep, and academic writing classes. I asked for a refund but they stubbornly refused. In orientation, they emphasized human rights and equality, but they are crazy about making money. I feel so disgusted by their pretentious words about the importance of the student's education right. 세션이 진행되는 도중에 학생이 줄었다는 이유와 선생님이 휴가를 떠났다는 이유로 갑자기 수업이 폐강됐어요. 그런데도 환불을 거부하고 제가 듣는 수업과는 다른 수업을 들으라고 합니다. 상식적으로 당연히 환불이 되어야 함에도, 이 학원은 악질적으로 환불을 거부하고있습니다. 이렇게 된 이상 환불이 아니라 수업 중단에 따른 피해보상 까지 요구할 생각입니다. 취약한 대상(미성년자, 외국인)을 상대로 악질적인 행위를 일삼는 학원의 영업행위는 근절되어야 합니다. *** 7/29 Updated *** 학원에서 남은 수업료 전액을 환불해줄 테니 학원에 나오지말라는 연락을 받았습니다. 갑작스럽게 퇴학처분을 받은 것이라 다른 학원으로 당장 옮길 수도 없어요. 몬트리올에 체류하는 비용이 만만치 않은데 큰 손실을 입게 생겼습니다. 진짜 당황스럽네요. 다른 어학연수생 여러분들, 어학원 선택 시에 꼭 여러 학원의 후기를 검토해보시기 바랍니다. 조금만 신경써서 살펴보았어도 이런 일을 안 당했을거 같네요. 이미 수업료를 지불하고 입국하셨으면 쓰레기 같은 학원을 골랐을 지라도, 별다른 해결 방법이 없습니다. 대부분의 학생들이 취약한 계층(미성년자, 외국인)이라 법적인 권리를 주장하는데 한계가 있다는 점을 이용해서 이 학원은 이득을 취하고 있습니다. *** 8/28 Updated *** They told me on 7/29 that they would refund all my money and that I should not come to the academy anymore. I thought it was unfair that they kicked me out, but I didn't want to waste my time in such an immoral academy, so I stopped going to the academy from 7/30. Please read and compare reviews from other language schools located in Montreal. This is not a typical level problem in average language schools.

Teachers were professionals and their systems not only improving English but also foster students' diversity traits , which were born with them, are being developed as they were . Yes, I faced diversities and I am getting used to improving skills overall aspects of life therefore I appreciate your supporting?? Elizabeth, Nicholas, Helen, Azadhe, homam, Mandi , Pamela, pooya, nika, Stefan (i’ haven’t seen him for donkey’s year, Melissa, laila, Jeremy, Anna. Students can improve their all skills . I started it last end of FEB with my sons whose Saint-Lambert elementary. Now I can do it well that’s my opinion though, showing your wrist , which your weakness and let yourself make mistakes in class as they know it to help you get better. Please keep speaking your target languages and making mistakes as much possible as you can. Hahaha I wanna pay back them all my unforgettable memories 3 고맙습니다. Fantastic experience: I enjoyed my time at ILSC Montreal learning french very much. The teachers I had, Julian and Martin were both excellent. I couldn't have been happier. Julian, who taught my core class put his whole heart into our classes, and cared about each students' progress. Martin had a very good sense of humour and provided interesting participatory activities daily to keep us involved and learning. I also loved all the other students and the chance to speak to them in the French without embarrassment.

I have been far from my wife and 2 kids for a long period and I can tell, somehow, I felt home in these last couple os months. Firstly I would like to thank Madame Monique Baptmale, Martin Moya and Farzaneh who were very good teachers. I would really had appreciated more if I had more classes with professor Monsieur Yazid Allala. Very nice gentleman and teacher. Bravo! And to put "la cerise sur le gâteau" I would really really like to thank Mlle Mahdieh who was my first French teacher, and now in my last session, my final teacher in ILSC and who always made the efforts to make me comprehend "la langue the Molière" and who has been someone very focused at her work. Amazing person and teacher! À Mlle Mahdieh: « Je vous remercie pour vous encouragements avec la langue française et pour votre soutien durant touts les temps ici à ILSC. Je vous suis très reconnaissant! » I also would line to thank Daniela Garzon who was also a great supporter and classmate. I would really like to share that, as both lawyer, and a gentleman who worked for diplomatic missions abroad, but especially as a human being, I can say that these professors are doing a great job, especially Ms. Amadi. Positive experience: good place

Negative experience: I was there for 8 weeks. 4 of them I had lessons with the teacher Martin which was amazing. I learned so much! Because of that, I renewed for more 4 weeks. Unfortunately, the next teacher didn’t give any content and the teaching skills were poor. My next action was try to give a feed back so the school could improve. For my surprise, the pedagogical coordinator Simon seemed to be very upset with the school too and said “I can’t do anything to help you”. Obs: There were 17 people in both sessions, what didn’t seemed a lot when Martin was teaching.

Fantastic experience: Completed my courses and obtained my CELTA certificate in MAR 2021. My instructors, Christopher and James, were incredibly helpful throughout my journey. Despite being an online program, the course had been highly interactive and immersive.

Fantastic experience: It's been almost two years since I did my CELTA at ILSC Montreal English Language School. I am a private tutor and use my skills every day I teach online. I teach both mini-groups and indivuduals. I've become very comfortable with breakout-rooms, using only digital teaching materials, and managing my classroom. I had a great experience doing CELTA, and I am a bit nostalgic as I don't have colleagues to talk about teaching ESL as I would if I worked in a regular school. I would gladly participate in more workshops and "reunions" as well as go for another traning session.

I was studying French and I loved the teachers (who would only speak French with us) and the possibility of following two skills focused courses after the core course, which helped me a lot to work on grammar and vocabulary and conversational skills. Negative experience: I‘m trying to get in contact with the school to get the refund they promised me and they are not answering my emails. The refund was promised as a result of a teacher shortage. I was put into a lower class because they had not enough teachers. Later on I talked with the school principal and they promised a refund for this inconvenience, they said it’s gonna take around 2-3 months. Now, more then 3 months later, I still haven’t received any kind of refund or any response to my emails.

Negative experience: Your learning experience depends on your teacher and classmates. There are too many teachers from other countries now. In addition to having an accent that is difficult to understand, I’m from Asia, I can't understand it at all if English is mixed with Spanish accents .they also use very strict methods to require students to do homework but didn’t give students feedback, especially teachers with poorer teaching abilities. This is not helpful for students who want to learn the British system of education. Many Mexican classmates will make fun of other students' poor English proficiency, or refuse to talk to students with poor English proficiency. Of course, there are also very good Mexican classmates, but this affects the mood of learning. This is something you shouldn’t see in English-speaking countries. There are also many Brazilian students, but Brazilian students are very willing to help others.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful experience, I had to do listening and speaking test for my citizenship application. The staff are absolutely wonderful, kind and helpful the center is very organized the preparation before test is easy and fast. Totally recommended. SG

Fantastic experience: Took the CELPIP here yesterday and the approachable staffs made me feel more comfortable and relaxed in successfully finishing the exam. Negative experience: Ótimos professores e boa localização. Bem próximo ao metrô e ao centro da cidade. Infelizmente, na minha experiência a parte positiva se encerra aí. A administração do curso de um modo geral deixou muito a desejar. Eu recebi o link para fazer o teste de proficiência e adequar meu nível à turma atrasado (um dia antes das aulas começarem) e somente depois de solicitar em vários lugares. Resultado: No meu primeiro dia de aula, perdi uma boa parte da introdução e apresentação da turma, porque não sabia para onde deveria ir. Falando em primeiro dia, o que eles chamam de integração é uma reunião via Teams, com uma das funcionárias lendo uma apresentação em PowerPoint. Não tem de fato uma orientação clara aos alunos, e NADA de integração entre as turmas. Na escola, o ambiente é limpo e temperatura agradável, mas não existe sequer um bebedouro para os alunos. Coisa que há praticamente em toda praça pública de Montreal. Se você quer água, tem que sair do prédio e ir até um café no térreo (nem sempre está aberto) ou buscar outro lugar na rua. Já na última semana, descobri por outros alunos que havia uma vending machine com refrigerante e outros petiscos, num dos corredores. A escola não informou nada sobre certificado, prova para mudança de nível. Ou seja, se nem isso teve de informação, imagina sobre alimentação/ hidratação. Apesar de ser cobrado uma taxa de orientação e outra de material didático, a única coisa que recebemos é o livro. Nem uma caneta ou um lápis. Não voltaria a estudar na ILSC.

Negative experience: Creo que no es lo que ofrecen, no es lo que esperaba, después que pagas solo te dicen, no puedes, si no eres avanzado y piensas que aprenderás estás equivocado, debí haber leído antes muchos comentarios negativos que identifican la realidad y es así, estoy estudiando y creo que no aprenderé mucho a pesar de mi esfuerzo ya que estudió adicional en las tardes y en las mañanas para poder estar al nivel de la clase que se supone que era básico pero te acomodan con avanzados que no debería ser, he enviado, mails, hablado con la agencia que me la recomendó pero al final es solo perder tiempo y dinero, espero alguien lea este comentario antes de matricularse NO LA RECOMIENDO, AVERIGUEN BIEN ANTES DE LO CONTRARIO LAMENTARAN COMO YO.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend ILSC for IELTS test! The staff are soooo friendly abd nice! The center is great for test. Today I gave ielts test and I apprecite the kindness of staff!

Negative experience: The WORST!!!! SHAME ON YOU! They want your money and after that, they don't give a s*it about you! My boyfriend and I were supposed to take an English test (350$CA!!) and the day of the test, we came without our passeport. They sent a reminder, which went directly in both our spam folder, so we were never aware we had to bring it! They kept saying that there was NOTHING they could do for us, we couldn't do the test and we lost 700$CA!! This is a whole week of work down the trash! And of course we have to rebook the test, so we need to pay 700$CA AGAIN!!..... It is ABSOLUTELY INSULTING, I can't believe how MISERABLE this company is.... Disgusting management, be careful because if there's ANY mistake of ANY KIND, even if it's not your fault, you are going to pay the TOTAL AMOUNT, plus you'll have to reschedule and pay AGAIN!! SHAME ON YOU!

Last year I took an Academic IELTS test on paper, and a week ago I took the computer-based CELPIP test. I was truly content with the situation and friendly staff at this institute. Every time, when I am stressed about the exam during the check-in process, I instantly feel relieved when I speak with Mrs. Patricia Granato; She is so calm, greets you with a smile, cares about your feelings, answer your questions thoroughly and speaks with you with a gentle tone so that the stressful environment turns into a tranquil one! I faced her twice, in different years, and still the same. she deserves a great gratitude for her nice attitude and friendly behavior. Additionally, whenever I inquire any information about ILSC, I contact via email, and Chris answers promptly, thoroughly and comprehensive! He/she provides me with useful information. I believe your staff are your treasures! We need to cherish these people nowadays so that encourages others!
